AI virtual try-on

A virtual try-on for the clothes you already own

Most virtual try-on tools dress you in clothes from a shop. Valanski tries on the clothes in your own wardrobe: add one full-length photo, ask for a look, and see the whole outfit on you, hairstyle included, before you get dressed.

No card needed. Your photos stay private.

A look from a sample wardrobe
  • Ivory cropped blazer
  • Ivory pleated skirt
  • Burgundy slingback
  • Cream handbag

Coffee, then wherever.

An ivory blazer and pleated skirt feel fresh together, with burgundy heels and a cream bag for warmth.

The short answer

An AI virtual try-on puts an outfit on a photo of you, so you can judge the whole look before you wear it. Valanski does it with your own clothes: it builds the outfit from your wardrobe, then shows it on your full-length photo, with your real pieces, the shoes and the suggested hairstyle.

  • Your face, skin tone and build come from your photo; the clothes come from your wardrobe.
  • One photo, added once, is used for every try-on you make.
  • Every try-on stays with its look, so you can compare hairstyles before you choose.

How it works

Three steps, then it's yours

  1. Add one photo of yourself

A full-length photo, head to shoes, in good light. A mirror selfie works.

  2. Get a look from your wardrobe

Ask the stylist in your own words, or pick the pieces yourself and build the look by hand.

  3. Tap Try it on

Usually within a minute, the look appears on you, wearing the hairstyle the stylist suggested for it.

Virtual try-on with your own clothes, not a shop's

Most try-on tools are built to sell: they put the clothes from a product page on a model, or on you, so that you buy them. That helps when you are shopping and does nothing on a Tuesday morning, when the question is which of your own clothes to wear.

Valanski starts from the other end. Every look is built from the pieces you photographed, so the try-on shows an outfit you can put on today, not one you would have to order first.

What makes a good try-on photo

The try-on keeps you as you are and changes only the clothes, so the photo matters more than anything else. You add it once, and a clear one pays off on every look.

What to aim forWhy it matters
Head to shoesThe try-on shows the whole outfit, hems and shoes included, so it needs your full height.
Even light, plain backgroundShadows and clutter make it harder to keep your skin tone and outline true.
Just you, face visibleNo sunglasses and no one else in the frame, so the face it keeps is clearly yours.
Your hair as you wear itHairstyles are fitted to the real length and texture of your hair.

How the try-on keeps it you

Your photo is used for who you are: your face, skin tone, hair colour and build. Its framing does not matter, because the try-on always shows you standing, head to toe, in the outfit.

The clothes come from photos of your own pieces, so the colours, prints and details are the ones in your wardrobe rather than a lookalike from a catalogue.

Try another hairstyle, keep every version

Each look comes with a hairstyle suggested for its neckline, your hair's length and texture, and the occasion, plus up to two alternatives. The try-on wears the one you choose; pick another and try it on again to compare.

Every try-on is kept with its look, so you can swipe between versions instead of losing the first. Hairstyle advice is optional: turn it off in your profile, for instance if you cover your hair, and the try-on keeps your hair as it is in your photo.

Your photo stays private

Your try-on photo, and every try-on made from it, is visible only to you. They are never sold or used in advertising, and the AI service providers that make the images process them only on Valanski's behalf.

You can replace or remove the photo from your profile at any time, and deleting your account deletes it along with everything else.

Questions

Before you start

Is the virtual try-on free?

Yes. The free plan includes try-ons every month, with no card needed. Paid plans include more of them, and extra try-ons can be bought in packs.

Can I try on clothes from a shop?

No. Valanski tries on clothes from your own wardrobe, the pieces you have photographed. It is built for deciding what to wear from what you own, not for shopping.

What kind of photo works best?

A recent full-length photo, head to shoes, in even light against a plain background, with no sunglasses and no one else in it. A mirror selfie is fine.

Will the try-on really look like me?

It is designed to. Your photo supplies your face, skin tone, hair colour and build, and the try-on keeps them instead of swapping you for a model. If a result looks off, try again or add a clearer photo.

How long does a try-on take?

Usually well under a minute. You can leave the page while it works: the try-on finishes and waits for you with its look.

Does the try-on show the suggested hairstyle?

Yes, when hairstyle advice is on. It respects the length and texture in your profile, so short hair is never given a long braid. With advice off, your hair stays as it is in your photo.

Do I need to photograph my whole wardrobe first?

No. A handful of pieces is enough for a first look, and one photo can hold several pieces at once. The more you add, the more looks there are to try on.

Can I try on a look I built myself?

Yes. A look you put together by hand can be tried on like any look the stylist made, and so can a planned day or a day of a trip.

Who can see my photo and my try-ons?

Only you. They are stored privately in your account, and you can remove the photo or delete your account whenever you like.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. Valanski works in any modern browser, on a phone or a computer, and you can add it to your home screen like an app.
